The Lovable Dogs Club is looking for a reliable, hardworking, positive, and dependable Full-Time Kennel Technician to join our team!
This is an active position that requires someone who is comfortable working directly with dogs, keeping the facility clean, and helping the team throughout the day. Our ideal candidate is someone who is punctual, responsible, comfortable around dogs of all breeds and sizes, and willing to work Saturdays as part of their regular schedule.
Position Details
Position: Full-Time Kennel Technician
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Location: On-site
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday: Flexible hours, with shifts starting as early as 7:00 AM and ending as late as 5:30–6:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Sunday: May be scheduled as needed
- Saturday availability is required.
- Sunday availability is a plus and may be required depending on business needs.
- Full-time availability is required.
What You’ll DoDog Care & Handling
- Provide daily care and supervision for dogs in daycare and boarding
- Feed dogs according to their individual schedules and instructions
- Provide fresh water and monitor eating and drinking habits
- Take dogs outside for potty breaks and exercise
- Supervise dogs during playtime and group activities
- Safely handle and move dogs of different breeds, sizes, energy levels, and temperaments
- Monitor dogs for changes in behavior, appetite, energy level, or overall condition
- Report injuries, illnesses, unusual behavior, or other concerns to management immediately
- Follow all safety and animal-care procedures
Cleaning & Facility Care
Keeping the facility clean is a major part of this position.
- Clean and sanitize kennels throughout the day
- Clean play areas, floors, yards, and common areas
- Pick up and dispose of dog waste properly
- Wash food and water bowls
- Maintain clean bedding and kennel areas
- Assist with laundry and other cleaning duties
- Keep supplies organized and properly stocked
- Help maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for pets and clients
This is not a position where cleaning is an occasional task. Cleaning and maintaining the facility is an essential part of caring for the dogs.
Bathing & Grooming Support
- Assist with bathing and drying dogs when needed
- Brush and maintain dogs as directed
- Assist the grooming team when requested
- Safely restrain dogs when necessary and appropriate
- Keep grooming and bathing areas clean and organized
- Previous grooming or bathing experience is a strong plus.
Team Support
We believe everyone on our team should be willing to help wherever needed.
- Assist other team members during busy periods
- Help with dog check-in and check-out when needed
- Assist with boarding and daycare routines
- Help prepare dogs for pickup
- Support other daily facility tasks as assigned
- Communicate clearly with coworkers and management
- Work together to keep daily operations running smoothly

- Able to follow instructions, safety procedures, and established protocols
- Comfortable working independently when necessary
- Works well with others and is willing to help teammates
- Communicates clearly and professionally
- Takes animal safety and cleanliness seriously
Experience That Is a Plus
Previous experience is preferred but not required if you have the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Experience in any of the following is a major plus:
- Kennel Technician
- Dog daycare
- Dog boarding
- Animal shelter
- Veterinary clinic
- Dog grooming
- Dog bathing
- Pet sitting
- Dog walking
- Dog training
- Animal handling
Grooming experience is especially valuable. Candidates with experience bathing, drying, brushing, handling, or assisting with grooming dogs are encouraged to apply.
Attendance & Schedule Expectations
Reliability is extremely important for this position.
Because we care for animals every day, our team must be dependable and present when scheduled.
The ideal candidate:
- Is consistently punctual
- Arrives ready to work at the scheduled start time
- Can reliably work the full scheduled shift
- Is available Monday through Saturday, with flexibility for Sunday shifts when needed
- Is willing and able to work Saturdays as part of their regular schedule
- Can accommodate flexible start/end times, including 7:00 AM starts and shifts ending around 5:30–6:00 PM
- Understands that animal care requires dependable staffing
- Communicates appropriately and in advance regarding legitimate scheduling issues
Saturday availability is required for this position. Sunday availability may also be needed based on business needs.
