JOB SUMMARY:
In this role, you will conduct ASAM-based assessments, develop individualized service and support plans, deliver evidence-based counseling, coordinate with treatment teams and community partners, and maintain timely, accurate documentation in accordance with applicable requirements.
ROLE REQUIREMENT:
The essential duties of the role include supervising and directly observing the collection of urine samples from same-sex clients to ensure compliance with mandatory testing protocols. Due to the requirement of direct, same-sex observation during specimen collection, to protect the privacy interests of our clients, this position has a bona fide occupational qualification (BFOQ) restricted to male applicants only.
This is authorized under Section 703(e) of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Complete comprehensive ASAM-based alcohol and drug assessments and develop individualized service and support plans.
- Provide evidence-based individual, group, and family counseling that supports each client’s treatment goals.
- Coordinate with families, referral sources, partner agencies, and internal staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records, assessments, forms, and case files in compliance with agency requirements and Oregon Administrative Rules.
- Maintain required credentials and clinical competencies, participate in supervision and training, and provide clinical coverage as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Current Oregon Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor I (CADC-I) credential.
- One year of experience providing counseling services, including ASAM-based assessments.
- Group facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of motivational interviewing and individual counseling practices.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and individuals with complex backgrounds.
- Strong documentation, communication, collaboration, and professional-boundary skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in both outpatient and residential treatment settings.
- Spanish-language skills.
