Role summary:
The Senior Manager, Project Management will lead a portfolio of transformation initiatives across People Services. This role connects AI Enablement, Continuous Improvement, People Technology, engineering, and operations to move work from idea to implementation with clear ownership, governance, and measurable outcomes. The role brings structure to complex, cross-functional work by managing priorities, timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder alignment. It also establishes consistent pathways for improving processes, resolving foundational technology issues, and moving rapidly developed solutions into secure, scalable, production-ready environments.
About the team:
The People Services Transformation team sits within Walmart’s People Tech & Services organization and improves how People Services supports Walmart’s 2.1 million associates. The team brings together AI Enablement, Continuous Improvement, project management, and dedicated engineering support to modernize outdated or broken processes, address foundational technology issues, and develop AI-enabled and automated solutions. We partner across business, operations, product, and technology to turn opportunities into measurable improvements while ensuring solutions are governed, sustainable, scalable, and designed to improve the associate experience.
What you'll do:
- Lead cross-functional initiatives across People Services, People Technology, AI Enablement, Continuous Improvement, and engineering.

Translate priorities into clear plans, milestones, ownership, and success measures.

Determine whether opportunities require process, automation, API, platform, or product solutions.

Manage initiatives from intake through implementation, stabilization, and transition.

Partner with engineers to productionize rapidly developed solutions.

Manage risks, dependencies, resources, decisions, and delivery barriers.

Establish portfolio governance, prioritization, reporting, and escalation mechanisms.

Track outcomes, adoption, associate impact, readiness, and sustainment.
What you'll bring:
- Experience leading complex programs across business, operations, product, technology, and engineering.

Strong project and portfolio management capabilities.

Experience with process transformation, software development, automation, AI, integrations, or APIs.

Ability to create clarity in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Strong communication and facilitation skills across technical and executive audiences.

Experience establishing governance, intake, prioritization, and reporting processes.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field and 4 years' experience in business, operations, analytics, or related area OR 6 years' experience in business, operations, analytics, or related area.
2 years’ supervisory experience.
3 years’ project management experience.
