Parlor Doughnuts is a fast-growing national franchise brand — and our Wichita location, the first in all of Kansas, has been open since October 2025. Built around crafted flavors, elevated café beverages, and an experience guests genuinely look forward to, Parlor is expanding quickly across the country and we're looking for the right leader to take our Wichita shop to the next level.
We're looking for a General Manager who leads from the front — someone who can run a high-volume, high-standard operation, hold the line on Parlor's values, and build a team that takes pride in the work every shift. This role carries real ownership responsibility. You'll be the operating leader of the location, the primary liaison to corporate/owners, and the culture-setter for everyone on your team. Schedule & work environment
Full-time salaried, approximately 50 hours per week
Must be available early mornings, weekends, and holidays — restaurant hours require flexibility across all shifts
Significant floor presence required; this is a working manager role, not a desk position
What you'll own
Day-to-day shop operations — food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and guest experience in line with Parlor Doughnuts standards
Serve as the primary point of contact with staff; maintain open, timely communication
Staff hiring, onboarding, scheduling, timecard verification, and ongoing development
Training your team in espresso, barista-style beverages, bakery, and food preparation to Parlor standards
This is a working manager role — expect approximately 50 hours per week with significant floor presence across departments and shifts
Inventory control, ordering from approved vendors, and stock optimization
Cash safeguarding and timely bank deposits
Financial targets: staffing costs, COGS, waste reduction, and overall shop profitability
Food safety and health regulation compliance across all shifts
Conflict resolution — for both team members and guests
Identifying opportunities for operational improvement and bringing solutions, not just problems
Local marketing efforts and community engagement to grow the Parlor Doughnuts brand in Wichita
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of progressive experience in food service, with management or shift leadership experience required
- Proven ability to develop staff, hold a team accountable, and build a culture people want to be part of
- Hands-on familiarity with espresso and café beverage programs
- Experience with Toast POS or comparable restaurant management systems
- Strong grasp of inventory management, food safety regulations, and cost control
- Comfortable reading financial reports and managing to labor and COGS targets
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills — clear in hiring, training, and everyday team leadership
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to stand and move through a full shift; this role requires consistent floor presence
- Availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
- A hospitality mindset: you raise the standard for every guest interaction, every single shift
