- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new recipes and seasonal dishes that align with dietary guidelines and customer preferences.
- Execute food preparation tasks efficiently, including chopping, slicing, cooking, and plating meals for service.
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining presentation quality and safety standards.
- Maintain inventory levels by rotating stock appropriately and notifying management of supply needs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related culinary role within a restaurant or food service environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques to ensure hygiene and compliance.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques across various cuisines.
- Experience working in dietary departments or with dietary aide responsibilities is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with menu planning, fine dining standards, and catering operations enhances your candidacy.
