As an RBT you will provide education, training, and coaching in a clinical setting. An RBT credential is required for this position. If selected, the candidate will be required to attain a board certification. This certification is a requirement of employment. Certification requires a 40-hour training course, competency assessment, and certification board assessment.
Ho'okele pays all upfront costs of certification.
Additionally, Ho'okele provides reimbursement for your time in the form of a bonus that will be paid after you work 200 billable hours as an RBT.
To be eligible for employment, you must complete the 40-hour course in 14 days after signing a contingent offer of employment.

Essential Duties: The Registered Behavior Technician provides direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to individuals with developmental, behavioral, and/or communication challenges under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT implements treatment plans, collects and records data, assists in behavior management, teaches functional skills, collaborates with caregivers and educational personnel, and maintains professional and ethical standards in accordance with BACB requirements.
Direct Client Services
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by a BCBA.
- Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in homes, schools, clinics, and community settings.
- Teach communication, social, adaptive living, academic, and self-help skills.
- Implement skill acquisition programs and behavior reduction strategies.
- Use reinforcement and prompting procedures as directed.
Data Collection and Documentation
- Accurately collect and record behavioral and skill-acquisition data.
- Maintain session notes
- Monitor client progress and report concerns to the supervising BCBA.
- Utilize electronic data collection systems
Behavior Management
- Implement crisis intervention and behavior management procedures as trained.
- Maintain client safety during behavioral episodes.
- Follow de-escalation procedures and emergency protocols.
- Recognize and report changes in client behavior or functioning.
Collaboration and Communication
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, teachers, parents, caregivers, and other service providers.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Accept and implement supervisory feedback.
- Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and agency policies.
Professional Responsibilities
- Adhere to the BACB Ethics Code.
- Maintain RBT certification and required supervision.
- Complete ongoing professional development and competency requirements.

- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
- Sit, stand, kneel, bend, squat, and move quickly during therapy sessions.
- Lift and carry materials and, when trained and authorized, assist with client positioning or safety procedures.
- Work on the floor with children for extended periods.
- Travel between service locations as required.
Pay: $25.00 - $37.00 per hour
