Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Residential New Construction Plumber to oversee plumbing installation on new residential homes. This role involves supervising plumbing helper, ensuring compliance with building codes, interpreting technical drawings, and maintaining construction schedules. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality workmanship to support our mission of delivering superior residential construction services.
Duties
- Lead, install and manage plumbing on residential new construction sites, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met.
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately install plumbing systems.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, plumbing building codes, and construction regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with your management team, project managers, and other trades to maintain project timelines and budgets.
- Installation of domestic water systems, waste disposal systems, and related plumbing components.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure proper installation practices, troubleshoot issues promptly, and repairs as needed.
- Pipe threading, welding, assembly of plumbing components, and use of hand tools and power tools on-site.
- Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.
- Provide mentorship to plumbing helpers on site.
Skills
- Extensive experience in residential plumbing construction with a solid understanding of construction site procedures.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, plumbing building codes, and construction regulatory compliance standards.
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems integration within residential projects.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding apparatus safely and effectively.
- Leadership skills in managing plumbing teams; excellent communication for coordinating with project managers.
- Familiarity with construction site safety practices; heavy lifting capabilities; basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Valid Driver's License is required with no loss of license and less than three moving violations in the last three years due to company vehicle.
