Join our dynamic team as an HVAC/Oil Burner Technician and become a vital part of delivering reliable heating, cooling, and mechanical solutions to our valued clients. In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems, including oil burners, boilers, water heaters, and AC/Heat Pumps. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, water heaters, and oil tanks.
- Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify system faults accurately.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise installation and repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems to maximize efficiency and lifespan.
- Diagnose issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical components; execute effective repairs promptly.
- Conduct field service visits to client sites for system inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations regarding refrigerant handling and environmental safety standards.
- Collaborate with clients to provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and recommending system improvements.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and reports for all performed tasks.
Skills
- Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of mechanical systems installation and repair.
- Service technician experience in HVAC or related fields with a focus on system troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Ability to read complex schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design documents confidently.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing boilers, air conditioning units, etc.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters; capable of diagnosing electrical system faults accurately.
- Skilled in equipment troubleshooting across HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems.
- Strong plumbing skills for managing water supply lines associated with HVAC equipment.
- Familiarity with HVAC system installation procedures from start to finish.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Knowledge of electrical systems within mechanical environments; capable of performing electrical repairs safely.
- Experience working with hand tools and mechanical repair equipment efficiently.
- EPA certification is highly recommended.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with proactive problem-solving skills to ensure timely equipment repair and maintenance.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
