Ware Junior/Senior High School is seeking an innovative, student-centered educator to lead our Project Lead The Way (PLTW) program in grades 712. The successful candidate will provide students with engaging, hands-on learning experiences through PLTW Gateway and PLTW Engineering courses that inspire creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation.This teacher will build a cohesive STEM pathway by teaching middle school Gateway Computer Science coursesincluding App Creators (AC) and Computer Science for Innovators and Makers (CSIM)while also teaching high school PLTW Engineering courses, including Introduction to Engineering Design (IED), Principles of Engineering (POE), and Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM).Using PLTW's nationally recognized Activity-, Project-, and Problem-Based (APB) instructional model, students will develop skills in computational thinking, programming, engineering design, CAD modeling, robotics, automation, manufacturing systems, physical computing, prototyping, and design thinking while solving authentic real-world challenges.RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach PLTW Gateway and PLTW Engineering courses for students in grades 712.
- Deliver engaging, hands-on, project-based learning experiences that foster creativity, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving.
- Guide students through computational thinking, programming, engineering design, mobile app development, physical computing, manufacturing systems, CAD, robotics, automation, and prototyping.
- Facilitate the engineering design process, helping students move from ideation to testing, refinement, and final solutions.
- Integrate science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and computer science concepts into authentic, interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and support all students in developing confidence as innovators and problem solvers.
- Utilize industry-standard technologies, including Autodesk Inventor, 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC equipment, robotics platforms, microcontrollers, and other engineering and makerspace technologies as available.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging engineering lab, makerspace, and computer science learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen district STEM programming and create seamless learning experiences across grade levels.
- Build partnerships with local businesses, higher education institutions, and career pathway organizations to expand student learning opportunities.
- Participate in PLTW professional development and implement the curriculum with fidelity while adapting instruction to meet student needs.
- Build positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, and community partners.
- Support the district's vision for college, career, and civic readiness by preparing students with the technical and professional skills needed for future success.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Massachusetts teaching license (or eligibility for licensure).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology Education, Computer Science, STEM Education, or a related field.
