Seeking Full-time Dental Front Desk Specialist to join our team! Dental experience is recommended. We are looking for someone who is organized, professional, and passionate about providing high-quality care and a positive patient experience. Candidates must be reliable, have strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task. A Dental Receptionist performs reception duties, greets patients, confirms demographic info and insurance coverage, collects patient copays, schedules and confirms patient appointments and communicates with clinical support staff and other duties as needed.
Pay is negotiable depending on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs opening and closing duties for the practice.
- Greets patients and coordinates patient flow; communicates with clinical support staff.
- Verifies computerized information and updates demographic and insurance information.
- Copies insurance cards and follows procedures regarding the distribution and saving of information.
- Collects payment from patients at time of service, following internal controls with money collected.
- Sends out referrals, and helps with Prior Authorizations.
- Assists patients requesting copies of x-rays, etc.
- Schedules and confirm appointments.
- Ensures that the patient waiting area is clean and presentable throughout the day.
- Answers phones; places reminder calls to patients in advance of appointments; utilizes Weave to confirm appointments via text.

- Work as a member of the dental team in the performance of duties.
- Be punctual for scheduled work and use time appropriately.
- Work in harmonious relationships with all staff, patients, vendors and others.
- Perform duties in a conscientious, cooperative manner.
- Perform the required amount of work in a timely fashion with minimal errors.
- Be neat and maintain a professional appearance.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect the Practice by keeping information concerning Operations, patients and employees confidential.
Schedule
- Available to work full time (35-38 hrs/wk)
- Monday 9:00-2:00, Tuesday - Thursday 9:45-7:00, Friday 8:45 to 3:00
