We are a growing, multi-location ADHD specialty clinic dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and dependable Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is experienced in a fast-paced medical office and is comfortable performing both front office and back office responsibilities.
Position Requirements
This position requires flexibility and a willingness to travel. The selected candidate must:
- Have reliable transportation.
- Be willing to travel to any of our clinic locations as needed to provide coverage and support.
- Be available to work from our Tempe location every Wednesday.
- Be available to work from our Peoria location every Monday in our Call Center answering phone calls and Scheduling
- Be available to work from our Scottsdale location Tuesdays and Thursdays
Key Responsibilities
- Work a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary based on clinic location and operational needs.
- Ensure the day-to-day operations of the clinic run efficiently while providing exceptional patient care.
- Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, review medications, and update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Perform EKGs, Urine Drug Screens (UDS), and administer QB Tests according to clinic protocols.
- Assist providers during patient visits and in-office procedures.
- Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility.
- Check patients in and out efficiently while maintaining a positive patient experience.
- Schedule new and follow-up appointments.
- Collect co-pays, outstanding patient balances, and process patient payments accurately.
- Process referrals and complete prior authorizations in a timely manner.
- Return patient phone calls and respond to patient questions, concerns, and requests with professionalism and compassion.
- Prepare patient charts, complete forms management, and maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
- Deliver excellent customer service through all forms of communication, including in person, by phone, and electronically.
- Accurately follow all clinic policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Support clinic operations at other locations when coverage is needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a busy medical office preferred.
- Proficient in obtaining and documenting vital signs and rooming patients.
- Experience performing EKGs, Urine Drug Screens (UDS), and QB Tests is preferred (or willingness to be trained).
- Experience with patient scheduling, insurance verification, and front office operations.
- Knowledge of prior authorizations, referrals, patient callbacks, and medical documentation.
- Experience collecting co-pays and outstanding patient balances.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
