Support the installation, maintenance, calibration, and integration of aircraft instrumentation systems used to collect engineering test data. Perform hands-on wiring, harness assembly, sensor installation, and system checkout while ensuring data accuracy and compliance with standard procedures.
Must-Have Requirements
- Aircraft instrumentation experience (touch labor)
- Cable and wire harness assembly experience
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or equivalent experience
- Soldering, wire stripping, crimping, and wire termination skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Experience with sensor installation and aircraft integration
Preferred Skills
- Instrumentation system calibration and preventive maintenance
- Data acquisition systems (DAS) experience
- Experience following engineering travelers and standard operating procedures
- Aircraft test or aerospace manufacturing experience
Key Responsibilities
- Build, install, troubleshoot, and maintain aircraft instrumentation systems
- Assemble and integrate cable/harnesses, sensors, and electrical components
- Perform calibration, checkout, and operation of instrumentation and data acquisition equipment
- Support domestic travel (5–10 trips annually, 1–3 weeks each) to customer and test sites including CT, NY, and MD.
