Physician Assistant – Primary Care

The Role:
We’re seeking a Physician Assistant – Primary Care to provide comprehensive, patient-centered medical care across the lifespan under the supervision of a licensed physician. The PA evaluates, diagnoses, and treats acute and chronic conditions, promotes preventive health, and collaborates with the healthcare team to support high-quality primary care delivery.
What You’ll Do:

Obtain detailed medical histories and perform comprehensive physical examinations.

Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses.

Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.

Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory studies, imaging, and EKGs.

Prescribe medications and therapiesin accordance withstate laws and practice agreements.

Provide preventive care services including routine screenings, immunizations, and health counseling.

Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, and hyperlipidemia.

Perform minor office procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage, joint injections, and skin biopsies.

Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications.

Collaborate with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary team members.

Refer patients to specialists asappropriate.

Document patient encounters accurately andtimelyin the electronic health record (EHR).

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and population health efforts.

Other relevant duties as assigned by management.
What We’re Looking For:

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
-
Master’sdegreerequired.
-
Current state PA license.
-
National certification by NCCPA (PA-C).
-
DEA registration if prescribing controlled substances.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS may be required depending on setting.

Strong clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a physician-led team.

Knowledge of evidence-based primary care guidelines.

Proficiencywith electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).

Commitment to patient-centered and culturally competent care.
Work Environment:

Outpatient primary care clinic.

May include private practices, community health centers, or hospital-affiliated clinics.

Typicallydaytime hours; some extended or weekend hours may berequired.
