Supervisor: Program Director
Employment Status: Full-Time Hourly/ Non-Exempt
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The main function of a Cook is to establish and maintain a nutritious and appealing diet for those we serve.
SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES
Work under the direction of the Program Director and/or Food Service Manager at all times to:

Provide healthful and appealing food for all program participants

Facilitate a clean work environment in the kitchen and serving areas

Notify the Food Service Manager and/or Program Director of menu item needs and inventory management status
-
Provide a physically and emotionally safe place for all staff, guests, and management.
-
Ensure a positive, safe, and effective food program experience for every participant.
-
Operate food program using established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
-
Prepare, implement, clean up, and evaluate food service activities.
-
Prepare and clean up meals, classrooms, playground, etc., where food is served
-
Transition of children from one activity to another.
-
Utilize the systems for measuring, tracking, and reporting program effectiveness against program goals and outcomes.

Sweep, Mop, empty trash as needed and assigned.

Be on duty and on-site during scheduled hours.

Other duties as assigned.

? Take the initiative to seek out solutions to problems, meet challenges, resolve conflicts, improve workflow, simplify systems and procedures, and implement cost reductions.
? Prepare articles for newsletters and other mailings as needed and generally support all efforts in this area.
? Be a constructive representative of Montana Rescue Mission to those outside it.
