American Traveler is seeking an ICU RN with 2+ years of experience and an active AZ or compact RN license for a position requiring floating to MS/Tele units.

ICU setting within a short-term acute care, teaching hospital with Level IV trauma designation
-
87 staffed beds
-
ICU nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2
-
MS/Tele nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5
-
Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
-
Required to work every other weekend
-
No on-call requirements
-
Required to float to MS/Tele and ICU units based on facility needs

Works in a flex pool setting
-
Uses standard med surg/tele equipment
-
Liko lifts available in almost all patient rooms
-
Charting system is Cerner
-
Active, unrestricted AZ RN license or valid compact license required (can submit with pending)
-
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, 3 years preferred
-
ICU/PCU experience preferred, or strong MS/Tele experience considered
-
Cerner charting experience preferred
-
Skills needed include IV therapy, arterial line management, and central line care/management
-
Experience with ventilator management and care of ventilated patients required
-
Neurological skills required including CVA/acute stroke management, ICP monitoring, and traumatic brain injury care
-
Cardiac monitoring skills required including dysrhythmia interpretation/management and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
-
Neuro and trauma experience required
-
MS/Tele or PCU work history required

First-time travelers are accepted

Local candidates are accepted

Must be comfortable floating without restrictions, which may occur within the facility, to nearby affiliate hospitals, or to other units based on skills and census needs

Travel pairs are accepted for this unit

RTO requests require unit manager approval

Must work 2 of the facility's recognized holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, Independence Day Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day)

Scrub color is navy blue

Expected to adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards including medication administration (BCMA)

Previous employees of the health system must be separated from PERM, PRN, or EP staff positions for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
