You will provide assistance with daily activities, monitor health status, and support individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with developmental disabilities, and individuals requiring specialized memory or hospice care. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and medical documentation standards
- Monitor vital signs and observe changes in health conditions to report promptly to nursing staff or medical professionals
- Support residents with specialized care needs including Alzheimer’s, dementia, memory care, and hospice-related services
- Operate Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient care and medical records efficiently
- Perform procedures such as catheter care, tube feeding, and other medically necessary tasks with precision and compassion
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or home care settings
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology concepts, and medication administration processes
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is advantageous
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Eldermark is a plus for efficient documentation
- Proven ability to provide patient-centered care while respecting privacy laws like HIPAA
- Hands-on experience in acute care settings or working with seniors requiring memory or hospice care enhances your candidacy
- Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
