Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Labor & Delivery (L&D) team in Morristown, NJ. The ideal candidate is a compassionate and skilled RN with strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Schedule
- 13-week contract
- 36 hours per week
- 3 x 12-hour night shifts
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for Labor & Delivery patients.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care while responding quickly to changes in patient condition.
- Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and emergency obstetric procedures.
- Operate and monitor labor and delivery equipment safely and effectively.
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, medications, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and National Patient Safety Goals.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Promote a safe, patient-centered, and supportive care environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment.
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Active RN License
Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour
