The Utilities & Maintenance Technician position will assist and perform all duties pertaining to the town’s utility systems, town maintenance and overall care of the Town of Corn as directed by the Utilities Supervisor.
● Inspect, maintain, and repair all town equipment, facilities, and property. ○ Repair streets, ditches, and right of way issues as necessary.
○ Responsible for maintaining and service town parks
○ Responsible for mowing, trimming, and edging town property and lots. ○ Repair and renovate buildings and facilities as directed by the board. ○ Work with vendors as necessary for major repairs and maintain and
service all town equipment.
● Inspect, maintain, and repair all town utilities including water, waste water, gas, and trash service.
○ Obtain all licenses necessary to operate town machinery used in utility service in compliance with the law
○ Obtain and maintain all certifications necessary to provide water, waste water, gas, and trash service for the town of Corn.
○ Perform all duties pertaining to trash, trash pickup, and trash truck maintenance.
● Emergency Duties
○ In the event of a utility, storm, or catastrophic event outside normal working hours, the Utilities Supervisor may call out the technician to assist in the emergency.
○ On call once every third weekend, or as needed.
● Assist as needed in setting up and tearing down town activities and events.
● All Other Duties as Assigned
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
