Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality food preparation, and maintaining high standards of customer service in a fast-paced environment. The Food Service Supervisor will play a crucial role in training staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Duties
- Supervise daily food service operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
- Utilize POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Train and develop staff in food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new team members.
- Implement health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service while addressing any guest inquiries or concerns.
- Assist with shift management to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Collaborate with kitchen management to enhance menu offerings and improve service delivery.
Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food service industry, preferably in quick service or casual dining settings.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes and budgeting practices.
- Experience with staff training, development, and performance management.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team towards achieving operational goals.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
- Previous experience in fine dining or banquet services is a plus.
