Dulce Cafe & Gelato, a locally owned and managed Cafe in southwest Durham is hiring a barista/server full-time/part-time to work front of house during morning and evening shifts. Duties include preparing handcrafted coffee and espresso beverages, POS operation and running food, while providing friendly customer service in a busy cafe environment. You must be able to accurately handle register transactions, maintain cleanliness and food safety standards, restock inventory, and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. You must also be able to communicate and work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and provide a positive customer experience while in a fast paced environment. You must be available to work Saturdays.
Prior experience in cafe or restaurants preferred.
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
*Thorough menu & product knowledge.
*Ability to use a POS System.
*Excellent customer service skills
*Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
*Take special orders and accurately quote pricing and details.
Wages consist of hourly wage, credit card tip pool, cash tips & year end bonus
