Job Summary
Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring for a contract-to-hire Accounts Receivable Specialist with a growing consumer products company in Encinitas. This role is ideal for an organized accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will support the Finance team by managing customer invoicing, cash application, collections, account reconciliations, and payment research while ensuring accurate financial records and exceptional customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate, review, and distribute customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Apply customer payments, including ACH, wire transfers, checks, and credit card transactions, within NetSuite.
- Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding customer balances.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, deductions, short payments, and unapplied cash.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate billing or payment issues.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams to resolve account discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate customer account records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, reporting, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and provide administrative support to the Finance team as needed.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience in a high-volume environment.
- Experience with cash applications, collections, account reconciliations, and invoice processing.
- ERP experience required; NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, or CPG environments is a plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and successfully complete any required pre-employment screening.
