Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Mechanic to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and systems within our manufacturing facility. Duties
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment using precision measuring instruments and schematics.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and mechanical components to identify root causes of malfunctions.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance history, and equipment status updates.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters; read electrical blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting.
- Repair or replace components including motors, wiring, sensors, valves, pumps, and other mechanical or electrical parts.
- Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts and handle high voltage electrical systems safely following industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on troubleshooting complex issues involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC/R systems, and welding processes.
- Support manufacturing operations by providing technical sales experience when advising on equipment upgrades or new installations.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to electrical codes (including low voltage and high voltage protocols) and industrial safety procedures.
- Assist in training team members on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility environment with strong industrial mechanic skills.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, welding (including welding), hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals accurately; experience with electrical blueprint reading is essential.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking; experience with engineering troubleshooting is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician work, low voltage systems, high voltage safety practices, and electrical diagnostics.
- Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters effectively.
- Strong analysis skills combined with excellent customer service orientation; capable of field service support in fast-paced environments.
- Prior military or industrial electrician experience is advantageous; must possess good communication skills in English.
- Valid certification in welding or related trades preferred; relevant certifications in electrical maintenance or HVAC/R are desirable.
