Complete Hearing and Balance is a fast-paced, patient-centered audiology practice dedicated to improving quality of life through better hearing. We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and energetic Patient Care Coordinator to be the welcoming face of our office and provide exceptional support to our patients, doctorate-level audiologists and the rest of our clinical team.
Prior experience in a healthcare or audiology setting is preferred. A high-level of computer skills is required as scheduling is performed using a web-based, online medical record system. Attention to detail, excellent communication skills, exceptional customer service and dependability are a must. We are looking for a team member who values hard work and customer service and who is eager to contribute to a positive and team-oriented work environment.
Reliable transportation is required: All team members are expected to work a rotating schedule between our Olympia, Lacey, Yelm and Chehalis locations.
Applicants must be experienced with medical front desk responsibilities: answering a multi-line phone system, scheduling appointments, processing referrals, verification of benefits, and processing payments and must be organized and possess a strong attention to detail.
Summary
In the role of Patient Care Coordinator, the successful candidate will be essential in delivering outstanding customer service and facilitating smooth operations within a medical office setting. This role will utilize your core skills in medical administrative support and office experience to assist patients and manage front desk responsibilities. Your premium knowledge of medical terminology will enhance communication with both patients and healthcare providers. Additionally, any relevant experience in a medical office will be valuable in understanding patient needs and ensuring a positive experience in our healthcare environment. A high level of professionalism and attention to patient privacy is a required.
Responsibilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, greeting patients and managing appointment scheduling, reminders and follow-ups efficiently.
- Demonstrate strong computer skills to manage scheduling and electronic health records effectively.
- Utilize medical terminology to assist in patient communications and documentation.
- Verify insurance benefits, collect copays and process payments.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality and privacy
- Ensure a clean and organized office environment while adhering to confidentiality protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate patient care and address inquiries.
- Assist audiologists with administrative and clinical support, including hearing aid orders and supply management.
- Help educate patients on hearing aid maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
