Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! In this vital role, you'll operate a variety of trucks, including dry vans trailers and refrigerated trailers. Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across designated routes, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Transport a variety of cargo including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and other specialized freight while maintaining the integrity of each shipment.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checks on brakes, lights, tires, and load securement.
- Manage route driving responsibilities effectively by planning optimal paths to meet delivery schedules.
- Document delivery details accurately in logs and reports; communicate any issues or delays promptly to dispatch.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing the company on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license with experience operating tractor-trailers and other large commercial vehicles.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving load & unload operations.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely.
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and route planning.
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus for loading/unloading freight efficiently.
