JOB SUMMARY
This position leads the Assembly cell by completing changeovers, troubleshooting equipment, and re-deploying assembly workers based on the production schedule and customer demand in Plex. This role provides working supervisory oversight of assigned Assembly employees — including training, work assignment, and performance support — while serving as a working setup lead by running equipment when not actively performing setup.
AN OVERVIEW OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Performs Assembly Operator functions and responsibilities.

Performs scheduled changeovers based on the production schedule.

Troubleshoots and performs basic repairs on equipment; contacts Maintenance or Automation when issues are beyond current capabilities.

Re-deploys assembly workers to different workstations based on production scheduling and customer demand in Plex.

Assists with resolution of data entry issues.

Requests needed parts from Material Handlers; may retrieve components directly via hand-jack.

Ensures needed product is moved to the staging area in a timely manner for transport.

Interprets policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

Suggests changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase crew efficiency.

Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

Assembles various components manually and/or using machines and fixtures provided for each application.

Provides working supervisory oversight of assigned Assembly employees, including training, work assignment, and direction.

Works with the Assembly Manager to appraise assembler performance and address performance concerns.

Must prove competency in changeover and troubleshooting of all Assembly equipment to achieve top pay.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required

Ability and desire to problem solve and carry out instructions

Able to read, write, and speak fluent English; ability to present to small groups (employees, customers, etc.)

Ability to accurately complete mathematics functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, decimals, compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret charts and graphs)

Ability to measure parts with calipers, micrometers, or various job-specific gages

Ability to use shipping scales to weigh and count parts, and apply adhesive labels to containers

Computer literacy in basic programs required (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Plex ERP)
