Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Upsell menu items like specialty cocktails, wines, or desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests
- Assist with food preparation, beverage mixing (including spirits and cocktail service), and food safety compliance
- Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, accommodating special requests, and ensuring comfort
- Support team members with food handling, serving, and other restaurant operations as needed
Qualifications
- Prior food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Demonstrated culinary knowledge including spirits, wine, cocktail preparation, and beverage service
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurants is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
