Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the Toast POS systems.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, including daily specials, to provide informed recommendations to guests.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while following proper cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Support host/host duties as needed during peak hours.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
- Familiarity with Toast POS is advantageous.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by the restaurant's schedule.
