Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly as a host or hostess, managing reservations and seating arrangements.
- Take and process customer orders accurately, upselling menu items such as specialty drinks or desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and sales.
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Handle cash transactions and process sales using POS system while maintaining accuracy in math calculations and cash handling procedures.
- Assist in food preparation and food handling tasks to support kitchen staff and ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries, managing guest relations, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or high-volume settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square is advantageous for efficient order processing.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques enhances your ability to assist in kitchen tasks and communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Strong time management skills are essential for balancing multiple tables and tasks seamlessly during busy hours.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales while providing excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation protocols, and proper food handling procedures ensures compliance with health regulations.
