Shift: Second Shift
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
To lead the planning and execution of the work efforts for assigned departments to maintain the quality and intergrity of products at the lowest possible cost.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Directs assigned departments' efforts, including staff supervision and associated personnel actions.

Provides direction to designated work teams with responsibility for maintaining productions schedules, quality of work, and planning and assigning duties.

Build upon processes established by engineering; leads process improvement efforts by establishing performance measures and goals, monitoring trends, and initiating problem-solving and corrective action.

Ensure department work areas are safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant through training, implementation of EHS policies, and continuous improvement.

Creates and maintains training matrices of personnel and associated documentation.
-
Interfaces with supporting departments such as Engineering and Quality Assurance.

Ensure adequate resources are in place for employees to perform daily operations, including materials, tools, and training.

Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position has supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
-
Four-year college/university degree (technical field preferred) or equivalent experience.

Three years of related experience in manufacturing, including supervision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Shopfloor environment/shared workbench or workstation.
-
Ability to perform repetitive motion (rotating wrists, keyboarding, using small/large tools).
-
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
-
Ability to tolerate constant noise (machine motors, large fans).
-
Ability to work safely in the presence of hazardous chemicals and hazardous conditions.
-
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or sit for long periods of time.

The employee frequently is required to handle or feel objects, tools or controls and climb or balance.
