Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Provider to join our team here at Adaptive Minds Services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing environment for children while promoting their physical, emotional, and social development. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage daily operations effectively, ensuring that care plans are followed and that each child's individual needs are met.
Responsibilities
Ensures compliance with all governmental laws and regulations, TX minimum standards, and AMS policies and procedures
Maintains confidentiality of all agency, client, and personnel information,
Coordinates the administrative and clinical functions of the operation
Coordinates all personnel matters, including hiring, assigning duties, training, supervision, evaluation of employees, and terminations in conjunction with the Executive Director
Ensures that persons whose behavior and/or health status presents a danger to the clients are not allowed at the operation
Supervises and supports Therapists, Volunteers, and administrative staff
Coordinates the communication for the entire Treatment Team
Acts as the primary liaison with all referring agencies.
Manages intake, referral, and discharge processes for the agency
Reports immediately any suspected incident of abuse/neglect/exploitation of a child in care to the Child Abuse Hotline
Facilitates pre-service and in service training for employees
Oversees the daily office management and maintenance
Reviews records for compliance
Provides on-going supervision for all children placed
Attends court hearings as needed
Attends weekly staff meetings
In charge of approving all treatment plans and treatment plan updates
Markets Royal Heritage RTCprograms and services in conjunction with the Executive Director
Develops and maintains relationships with other social service agencies in order to maximize services built on inter-agency collaboration
Attend monthly supervision meetings with the Executive Director.
Participate in the on-call schedule as assigned.
Attend Admission, Dismissal and Review (ARD) meetings for children
Attend Permanency Planning Team Meetings for children
Attend court hearing for children
Provide training to staff as needed
Performs any additional tasks as assigned by the Executive Director
Develop and implement care plans tailored to the specific needs of each child.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
Collaborate with other childcare staff to maintain a supportive team environment.
Manage daily operations, including scheduling activities and maintaining supplies.
Provide emotional support and guidance to children, fostering their social skills and independence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must hold a current license as Licensed Child-Care Administrator
- Bachelors or Master's degree in social work or related behavioral field from an accredited college or university
- A minimum of two years' experience in child placement and/or related human services field; a preference of one year in a supervisory capacity.
- At least one year experience providing services to children who have been removed from their homes.
- Familiarity with the social services delivery of services of public and private agencies.
- Be physically, mentally and emotionally capable of performing assigned tasks.
Skills
- Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate children effectively.
- Experience in supervising groups of children in various settings.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques for children with special needs is a plus.
- Familiarity with developing care plans that cater to individual child requirements.
- Operations management skills to ensure smooth daily functioning of the childcare setting.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Background in assisted living or senior care is beneficial but not required.
- Understanding of social work principles related to child development is advantageous.
Pay: $48,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
