About Us
We are a wound care clinic seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. This role supports daily patient care, provider workflow, and clinic operations in a busy outpatient setting.
The Medical Assistant will work closely with providers and staff to assist with wound care visits, procedures, patient preparation, room turnover, supply restocking, surgical patient support, and EMR documentation. This position requires strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality patient care.
Candidates with wound care, surgical, dermatology, podiatry, or specialty clinic experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs
- Assist providers during wound care visits, dressing changes, and procedures
- Prepare exam rooms and assist with room turnover between patients
- Restock rooms and monitor clinical supplies throughout the day
- Support surgical patients with pre-op and post-op care as directed
- Complete accurate and timely EMR documentation
- Update charts, upload/attach documentation, and ensure notes are complete
- Assist with blood draws, injections, and specimen collection if trained and within scope
- Follow HIPAA, infection control, and clinic protocols
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and team members
- Assist with clinic flow and daily clinical tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant required
- Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Wound care experience or interest in wound care preferred
- EMR charting experience preferred
- Comfortable working in a hands-on clinical setting
- Able to work efficiently in a busy outpatient clinic
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
