We’re hiring a full-time, on-site coordinator in Newport Beach, CA to drive daily boat yard operations and fleet readiness.
- Do you excel at directing crews and keeping work on schedule without compromising safety?
- Are you comfortable with heavy equipment, standard marine tools, and enforcing SOPs?
- Can you shift priorities quickly and still deliver high-quality, inspected results?
- Do you communicate clearly—giving instructions, safety briefings, and timely updates?
- Coordinate and supervise yard staff; assign tasks and monitor performance.
- Plan and track maintenance/repairs for boats, docks, and yard facilities.
- Ensure safe and efficient tool/equipment usage and maintain organized workspaces.
- Inspect completed work for quality and safety compliance.
- Manage inventory of parts and supplies; prevent shortages.
- Partner with management on work schedules and project timelines.
- Provide status updates to internal teams on vessel readiness and yard conditions.
- Maintain strict safety procedures, housekeeping, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Supervisory experience leading teams in a yard, marine, or maintenance environment.
- Experience operating or coordinating work with heavy equipment and marine/yard tools.
- Effective communicator for instructions, safety talks, and progress reporting.
- Basic carpentry skills for dock/structural/minor vessel repairs.
- Hands-on maintenance (troubleshooting and preventive) for boats, facilities, and equipment.
- Knowledge of workplace safety (OSHA or similar) and strong safety culture.
- Ability to prioritize, manage time, and adapt in a fast-paced yard.
- Marine, boat yard, marina, or related experience highly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational marine training is a plus.
- Physically able to lift, bend, stand long periods, and work outdoors in varying weather.
- Spanish bilingual ability highly preferred.
