Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage routes effectively. Our local drivers deliver mail to local post office, and shuttles from York, Pa to the rail yard in Harrisburg, Pa. Training is provided if needed. Hourly drivers start at 27hr, OTR and regional drivers get 30% of each load. We also help drivers who wants to operate on 1099.
Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailer.
- Properly strap or put up a load bar, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption as required by law.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Strong knowledge of truck driving regulations and safety protocols.
- Proficient in route driving with excellent navigation skills.
- Previous experience driving containers, and rail yard experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
