Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both commercial and industrial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in various electrical systems and tools. This role requires a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring that electrical installations and repairs are completed safely and efficiently on construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Ensure compliance with NEC standards during all installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
- Perform high voltage electrical work as required by project specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become problems.
- Document all work performed, including materials used and time spent on each task.
- Knowledgeable in chapters 1-9 of the NEC, able to navigate and apply code effectively.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician in both commercial and industrial environments.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with frame carpentry is a plus for integrated projects.
- Experience working on construction sites with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Capability to handle high voltage systems safely and effectively.
