Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and passionate Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design and a love for flowers and plants. As a Florist, you will be responsible for creating beautiful floral arrangements, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the overall aesthetic of our shop. You will also assist with e-commerce operations and contribute to sales efforts to ensure the success of our business.
Duties
- Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions including weddings, funerals, and special events.
- Provide knowledgeable advice to customers regarding flower selection, care, and arrangement styles.
- Manage inventory by stocking flowers, plants, and supplies while ensuring freshness and quality.
- Operate POS systems for processing sales transactions accurately.
- Assist with e-commerce initiatives by managing online orders and ensuring timely delivery.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop, including landscape maintenance of outdoor areas.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and preferences while promoting additional products or services.
- Utilize retail math skills to track sales trends and manage inventory levels efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Florist or in a related retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance and gardening is a plus.
- Proficiency in e-commerce platforms is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- A passion for flowers, design, and customer service is essential.
