POSITION: MAINTENANCE WORKER
Non-exempt/full-time
Summary: Under the supervision of the Property Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Worker is responsible for the overall physical operation of assigned site portfolio; commercial and residential properties. Will perform assigned tasks relating to the upkeep, repair and maintenance of WLCAC properties, including but not limited to, buildings, mechanical, plumbing, heating and electrical systems of assigned properties. Responsible for unit turnover process – unit preparation after move-out i.e., paint, patch holes, clean carpet, repair or replace tiles, removing debri etc. Able to assess property issues or potential problems with the Residential Manager and outline steps for correction.
Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years experience in property maintenance or comparable position. Must possess excellent communication in order to deal with difficult customers and/or tenants. Construction training and certification in a trade, i.e. plumbing, electrical etc. Ability to frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds. HUD REAC experience is preferred. Bilingual, English/Spanish is a plus.
Compensation based on experience: $17.00 – $18.00 /hr.
