Job Overview
We are seeking a caring and energetic Part-Time Caregiver to join our team in Jackson. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by providing personalized care and support. The position involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting well-being in a respectful and compassionate manner.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and document client health status, vital signs, and overall well-being
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Support medication management and administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry
- Use patient observation skills to identify changes in condition or behavior that require attention
- Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive environment
Skills
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities in home or community care settings
- Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures
- Familiarity with assisted living, nursing home environments, or group homes is advantageous
- Ability to assist with mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts and perform heavy lifting when necessary
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and dementia or Alzheimer’s care
- Excellent communication skills for working with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times
