JOB Under limited supervision performs work of routine difficulty in the cleaning and maintenance of County facilities; performs related work as assigned.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES (Illustrative Only)
- Cleans and maintains County facilities
- Identifies and reports repair needs and performs minor repairs
- Performs grounds maintenance, including snow removal
- May assist with special events
Essential functions of this position include: standing, walking, crouching and stooping to perform custodial work; lifting and carrying trash bags and storage boxes up to 60 lbs; frequent repetitive motion of hands, wrists, elbow and shoulders to clean; working with and around other employees and coworkers; communicating with employees and coworkers; ability to communicate both written and verbally with co-workers. Touch and finger dexterity while cleaning. Environmental conditions includes: hazards (mechanical and electrical) from vacuum cleaner, buffer, etc; (chemicals) from floor and window cleaners, wax, etc; atmospheric conditions includes: fumes from chemicals, odors from cleaning products; office dust; mist from spray bottles-aerosols.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Considerable knowledge of:
- Materials, equipment, and procedures used in custodial work
- Occupational hazards and procedures for storing and handling hazardous materials
Ability to:
- Operate a variety of custodial and maintenance equipment
- Maintain a safe workplace
- Effectively handle lifting of objects weighing up to 60 pounds
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Prepare and maintain records and reports Work safely and support the culture of workplace safety
