Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal offerings.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed for the dietary department or catering events.
- Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role, preferably in fine dining or catering environments.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
