Responsibilities
- Safely operate your personal vehicle or box truck to pick up and deliver cargo across designated routes.
- Load and unload shipments using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) guidelines during all driving activities.
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries using mobile devices and maintain detailed logs of routes, deliveries, and pickups.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients and addressing any delivery concerns professionally.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items to prevent injuries and ensure workplace safety.
Requirements
- Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations with a focus on manual handling and heavy lifting.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or box trucks is preferred.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and weight handling standards in the workplace.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via mobile devices and in person.
- Physical capability to lift heavy items safely and perform manual handling tasks regularly during shifts.
- No CDL required.
