Precision Group is a 41-year old manufacturer of plastic injection molds and plastic products, with facilities in San Antonio and La Feria Texas.
We are looking for an experienced CDL Class A truck driver, based in San Antonio, to serve our manufacturing facilities in a safe and timely manner. This position will be driving and building maintenance when not driving, with other additional duties. Negative DOT drug test required before hire. Must be flexible. Must have 5-7 years CDL experience. Most travel will be in Texas, mostly day travel, but some night travel also, as needed. Must be able to tie down a load on a flat bed truck or trailer. Must be willing to work Saturday as required.

Responsibilities
- Transport metal molds and plastic products over land to and from customers, driving our company truck with or without 20 foot flatbed trailer attached. Will also be picking up manufacturing parts in San Antonio and surrounding areas as required
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
Skills
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly, mainly in state, such as to La Feria, Houston, and Dallas
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Must be capable of tying down a load correctly using chains or straps
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
- Valid CDL Class A truck driving license
