You’ll work in a newly renovated, state-of-the-art facility alongside experienced managers and friendly staff in a high-volume dealership with consistent daily activity. This role offers valuable exposure to dealership operations and the automotive industry as a whole.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive vehicle cleaning and detailing using both manual cleaning methods and dealership equipment to ensure vehicles are clean, presentable, and ready for delivery or display
- Detail vehicles inside and out, including vacuuming interiors, wiping surfaces, cleaning windows, washing exteriors, drying vehicles, and polishing surfaces as needed
- Prepare new and used vehicles for customer delivery and showroom presentation
- Safely move and park vehicles throughout dealership property, service areas, and wash bays when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including janitorial duties such as trash removal, sweeping, cleaning surfaces, and keeping wash/detail areas orderly
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, presentation quality, and any noticeable concerns prior to delivery or customer pickup
- Work closely with managers, sales staff, and service personnel to prioritize vehicle preparation needs throughout the day
- Provide professional and friendly interaction with customers and dealership staff when needed
- Follow all dealership safety procedures while operating vehicles, cleaning equipment, and detailing tools
- Assist with additional vehicle appearance or lot support duties as assigned
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with vehicle washing, detailing procedures, and automotive cleaning techniques preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of buffing tools, polishing compounds, and vehicle appearance products is a plus
- Ability to thoroughly clean vehicle interiors and exteriors using appropriate cleaning tools and equipment
- Familiarity with general custodial and janitorial practices to help maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Ability to safely move and park vehicles throughout dealership property
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and collaborate well with dealership staff and management
- Comfortable with an active work environment that includes bending, kneeling, lifting, reaching, and being on your feet throughout the day
- Interest in automotive vehicles and willingness to learn and grow within the industry
