Project Manager – MEP Division
Kinetic Design is seeking a team player to join our MEP Team with an emphasis on retail, restaurant and commercial building design. This position requires an individual who is highly detail oriented, organized and self-motivated to join the fast-paced team. This is a full-time position.
Project Management
- Manage all MEP activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain MEP project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress and identify risks, delays, or cost impacts.
Design & Technical Coordination
- Review MEP drawings for accuracy and constructability
- Coordinate MEP design integration with architectural, structural, and civil disciplines.
- Resolve technical issues and design conflicts during construction via RFI’s
- Ensure designs comply with local building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, energy, and accessibility codes.
- Stay current with applicable standards and regulations.
- Support permit approval processes and jurisdictional reviews.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical, plumbing or electrical design for commercial building systems, code compliance, and construction.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Energy and building code compliance knowledge. Fluent in California Title 24, ICC International Codes, and Uniform building codes
- Drive deadlines in dynamic and fast-moving environments.
- Team players with exceptional interpersonal skills at all organization levels.
- Self-directed, with good initiative and a great multi-tasker
- Strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc…)
- Must be strong in AutoCad and Revit
- Ability to work well with other engineers/designers
This is a full-time position either working remotely from home or based out of our Orange County office.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
