PORTER - $18/HR - SCHOOL FACILITY, Linden NJ
Mon - Fri 11am-3pm / 20 hrs per week
Janitorial / Commercial Office Cleaning experience is preferred.
Scope of work includes:
● General Cleaning: Dusting, wiping down furniture
● Sweeping / Mopping / Vacuuming
● Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms
● Re-Stock restroom supplies (hand soap, toilet paper, etc.)
● Cleaning office areas / hallways / lobby
● Disinfect all common touchpoints
● General tasks and light maintenance
● Remove trash from office areas
Requirements
● Janitorial/Commercial Experience necessary
● Must be able to speak English clearly and read English well enough to understand chemical
cleaning product safety labels and instructions
● Must be able to reliably commute to this location
Physical, Mental & Environmental Requirements
● Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs (boxes and garbage bags)
● Frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping throughout the shift
● Frequent use of hands for repetitive tasks (mopping, wiping, scrubbing) \
● Occasional reaching overhead and below the waist
● Exposure to cleaning chemicals and disinfectants; must be able to follow safety protocols for handling and storage
● Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
● Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and prioritize tasks within a set time window
● May involve brief exposure to outdoor conditions when handling trash removal
