Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. As an Owner Operator, you will leverage your own truck and equipment to manage deliveries while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. This position offers the opportunity to work independently while being part of a supportive logistics network.
Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial truck, including van small straight or large straight, to transport freight to various destinations.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes while adhering to scheduled timelines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered during transport.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of freight, utilizing forklifts or other equipment as necessary.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial driving.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and freight handling procedures.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on vehicles and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality and reliability.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, dispatchers, and team members.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in the transportation industry.
