Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Assist in menu planning, including seasonal offerings and special dietary needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other food preparation tools.
- Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to ensure it meets fine dining standards.
- Participate in inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
- Support the dietary department by accommodating specific dietary restrictions for guests.
- Assist with catering events as required, ensuring all food is prepared to specifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Experience in fine dining environments is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
