American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) position requiring 3 years of CVOR circulating experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Work in a high-acuity, nationally-recognized Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery program within a 12-suite CVOR performing approximately 20 cases per day
-
Common procedures include CABG, MVR, AVR, kidney transplant, robotics (thoracic and cardiac), peripheral vascular, thoracic, aortic repair, vascular access, hybrid procedures (TEVAR/EVAR, TAVR), Impella, IABP, and ECMO
-
Collaborate with approximately 25 surgeons who regularly work in the OR
-
Day shift schedule, 6:45am - 3:15pm, Monday through Friday
-
Call requirement of at least 1 weekday and 1 full weekend per month, with potential for more based on staffing needs
-
24/7 in-house coverage provided by the facility with varying shift needs
-
Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call requirements apply

Mandatory call/standby requirement with a 30-minute response time

No floating requirements

OR tech support available on the unit

Uses Epic EMR

Active RN license (State or Compact/NLC) for Texas required, pending licenses not accepted

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
Minimum 3 years of CVOR circulating experience required

Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience required

Scrubbing not required for RNs, but prior scrub experience preferred
-
Experience working in a fast-paced, complex CVOR environment with multiple surgeons
-
Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Circulate in a fast-paced, high-acuity cardiovascular and thoracic surgical environment

Apply general CVOR knowledge and prior experience to work effectively with a wide range of surgeons
-
Unit and department-specific orientation provided

Hospital provides scrubs

No charge nurse or house supervisor role included in this position
