Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. In this role, you will monitor activity through surveillance systems, conduct regular patrols, and respond promptly to any security concerns or incidents. Your proactive approach will help maintain a secure environment while providing excellent service to all who enter our facility. Duties
- Conduct routine patrols of the property to identify and address potential security issues
- Monitor surveillance cameras (CCTV) to oversee activity and detect suspicious behavior
- Manage access control by verifying identification and authorizations for employees, visitors, and contractors
- Respond swiftly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies with appropriate conflict management techniques
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing and reporting theft or vandalism
- Provide first aid or CPR when necessary, following established safety protocols
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security reports for record-keeping purposes
Qualifications
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
- Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV), conflict management, and loss prevention strategies
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred but not required; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail in monitoring premises and identifying potential threats
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle conflicts professionally
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff, visitors, and emergency responders
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods as needed
