Job purpose
The Curriculum Developer designs, develops, evaluates, documents, and continuously improves curriculum, assessments, faculty guides, lesson plans, and technology-enhanced learning resources for Marine Corps University and Education Command.
Duties and responsibilities

Design and develop curriculum materials, including lesson plans, instructional guides, assessments, and multimedia resources.

Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure curriculum content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with industry standards or academic goals.

Integrate instructional design best practices to create engaging, accessible, and effective learning experiences for diverse student populations.

Review and update curriculum materials regularly to maintain alignment with educational standards, institutional goals, and emerging trends.

Develop assessment tools to measure student learning outcomes and provide data-driven insights into curriculum effectiveness.

Facilitate curriculum review committees, gathering feedback from faculty, students, and stakeholders to improve course content and structure.

Support the development and integration of technology-enhanced learning tools, such as online modules, simulations, and digital resources.

Align curriculum with accreditation requirements and document all modifications to support compliance with regulatory standards.

Prepare curriculum documentation, including course outlines, syllabi, and instructional guidelines for faculty and administrative reference.

Evaluate student performance data and feedback to identify trends and inform future curriculum development.

Support cross-departmental initiatives to integrate interdisciplinary topics and promote a cohesive educational experience.

Stay informed of advances in the field and emerging educational technologies to continuously enhance curriculum quality and relevance.
Qualifications

Graduate of Marine Corps Command and Staff College, Expeditionary Warfare School, or equivalent PME preferred.
Education

Bachelor's degree in related field.
Years of Relative Work Experience:
- Five (5) years of curriculum development or instructional design experience.

Experience developing instructor-led and online learning materials.
Clearance:
- Minimum Tier 1 background investigation and Government-access eligibility are required; an active Secret clearance is required before supporting classified events or tasks.
