The Resident Aide plays an essential role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming permanent supportive housing environment. This position provides direct, compassionate, person-centered support to tenants while promoting housing stability, independence, and community well-being.
The Resident Aide conducts routine safety rounds, respond to incidents and emergencies, support tenants with daily needs, and assist with conflict resolution using trauma-informed and de-escalation practices. Staff model professionalism, empathy, and respect while upholding program expectations and maintaining appropriate boundaries.
This role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to supporting individuals and families who have experienced homelessness. Evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required. Training and ongoing professional development are provided.
Candidate must be able to pass a NYS background check, fingerprint and physical screening prior to employment.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
